WHAT TYPE OF ARTWORK DO I NEED?

Vector graphics work best, but we can work around the quality of your design and alter it to fit the order (fees may apply). The reason vector graphics are most commonly used is because they can be infinitely resized without losing any resolution or color quality, which is ideal for projects that need high quality images. Screen printing begins with a digital process; all we need is a high resolution art file that we can send to the printer and we will be able to print the shirt. Common file types for vector graphics include .ai (illustrator), .eps (encapsulated postscript), and .svg (scalable vector graphics). A high resolution PNG (portable network graphics) with a transparent background is preferred, and we can work with the art you give us (fees apply for reworking).

WHAT IS YOUR TURNAROUND TIME?

Currently it takes 10-14 business days from the time payment is rendered to order completion. Your representative should give you an idea of when we can complete your job. If you have any deadline needs, be sure to let us know. Rush / priority fees may apply.

IS THERE A MINIMUM ORDER? DO THEY ALL HAVE TO BE THE SAME SIZE AND STYLE?

Our minimum screen printing order is 24 pieces. You can split this amount up between different sizes, apparel colors and apparel types, as long as there is no change to the ink color(s) and the print locations.

ARE YOUR SHIRTS HIGH QUALITY?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Unless otherwise requested, we use 6.1oz Gildan 100% cotton shirts as our go-to t-shirt. If it's hoodies you're after, we use 10.1oz Hanes fleece. But we can use whatever type of garment you would prefer! Ask us about our access to wholesale accounts.

WHAT ELSE CAN YOU SCREEN PRINT?

T-shirts (short sleeve / long sleeve), hoodies, workshirts, uniforms, ladies and mens tank tops, fit t's, jackets, aprons, totes / gym bags, towels, wash cloths, infant clothing. If you can think of it, chances are we can print on it!

CAN YOU MEET OR BEAT COMPETITOR PRICING?

We will try our best to meet or beat competitor pricing, but make sure you have all the specifics of the job and their quote so that we can understand the order. Oftentimes competitors' pricing will seem like a better deal on its face, when in reality there is a trade off in quality. We can print on cheaper (more cost-effective) garments than we typically pitch, if that's what you prefer. however we do not push that type of clothing.

CAN YOU DO ALL OVER PRINTING?

Not at this time. We are currently constrained to a 18 x 22 size print.

We have the capacity to produce 1000's of shirts per day, and will do our absolute best to offer the most competitive rates in the industry. Bring your large order quotes to us and give us the opportunity to beat it!

I'M IN A HURRY. CAN YOU PRINT QUICKLY?

That really depends on our work load. We will often do our best to accommodate deadlines. This often depends on garment availability, art work quality, and other variables. If you have a deadline, please let us know upfront. Rush fees may apply.

CAN YOU DO DIFFERENT COLORS AND SIZES WITHIN ONE ORDER?

We sure can, as long as the ink colors and placements stay the same. If you need different ink colors, a wash out fee may apply. We can even change ink colors (wash out screen/dry/reset press). However there may be an ink wash out fee.

CAN YOU SHIP OVERSEAS?

Ahoy! We ship via UPS or USPS, whichever you prefer. If you don't have a preference, we will typically go with the most cost-effective option, while still ensuring the security of your garments.

WILL THE INK COLOR MATCH THE PROOF EXACTLY?

Accepted Answer

While we do our best to color match with a pretty spot-on color matching system, we do not guarantee color matching. The closest color of ink is always used. If you have an exact color / type of ink you want us to use please let us know (brand / model / pantone color). Additional fees may apply.

WHAT LOCATIONS CAN YOU PRINT ON A GARMENT?

Left chest, center chest, either side of body, upper back, middle back, lower back, upper / lower offset back, shirt sleeves and pant sleeves. Probably more possibilities if we sat and thought about it!

WHAT IS DIGITIZING?

Digitizing is the process where your logo/text is converted into actual stitch paths for the embroidery machine to use to sew. This is not the same as having a vector file or cad file. There is a completely different process involved. Different companies, given a graphic to digitize, may and often will come up with completely different digitized versions.

WHAT ABOUT SETUP / DIGITIZING FEES?

There is a one-time digitizing fee of $40 on embroidery jobs.. Fees are waived on orders of 60 garments or more. Contact us to get a quote on your specific digitizing price.

HOW BIG OF AN IMAGE CAN YOU EMBROIDER?

We can sew up to a 19" x 15" field. The overall size depends on the proportions of your logo. Feel free to contact us if you have a special requirement.

Yes, however pricing on one garment is priced retail and applicable digitizing fees will apply.

HOW LARGE CAN YOU SEW ON A HAT?

Center Front is 5.5" wide x 2" high. Offset front panel is 2.75" wide x 2" high. We can sew 270 degrees on a hat without taking it off the machine, (roughly ear to ear).

IS THERE A STITCH LIMIT?

No. Our machines have 200 million stitch memory capacity, and we can embroider hundreds of thousands of stitches on a single design.

CAN YOU DO PUFFED / RAISED EMBROIDERY?

Yes. There is an additional cost, and not all logos will work for this. This method works best on logos or designs with wider lettering and graphics. Thin lettering or too large of a filled area does not turn out very well.

CAN YOU SEW ONTO A HAT'S BILL?

Unfortunately, no. Hat bills are embroidered before they are assembled into an actual hat. Once the hat is put together, a machine will not embroider through the bill.

IS THERE A COLOR LIMIT?

Yes, 15 colors is the max we can do per design. Most logos don't have any more than 5 colors in them, so it's never really been an issue for us or our clients.

HOW CAN I TELL HOW MANY STITCHES MY DESIGN IS?

For a quick approximation of the amount of stitches your design will need, use this simple equation: Multiply the length by the width then multiply the total by 2. That will give you the amount of 1,000 stitches. For example: 11/2” x 2” logo would be 1.5 x 2 = 3 then 3 x 2 = 6. So that design will require about 6000 stitches.

If the design is very intricate, or uses a high multitude of colors, Direct To Garment printing is your best choice. With DTG, there are absolutely no color restrictions. It’s just as easy to do a one-color print as it is to print 50 colors on a shirt; so this is our go-to method with orders that include complicated artwork. For these reasons, any photographs should be printed on a shirt utilizing DTG as well. If your order is a small quantity of garments or a “one off”, DTG printing is the way to go as well, since it avoids the set up and screen fees that traditional screen printing has.

WHAT TYPE OF PRINTER IS USED FOR DIRECT-TO-GARMENT PRINTING?

Direct to garment printing (DTG) is the process of printing on fabrics using specialized ink jet technology. DTG printers typically have a letterpress printing plate which holds the garment in place while the printer inks are jetted onto the textile by the print head. In essence, DTG printers are large inkjet printers with very large print heads. A shirt gets loaded onto the printer, a design file gets sent to the printer, the printer feeds the t-shirt in and the printer prints directly onto the shirt. After the shirt is printed, the shirt is cured to evaporate the water and dry the ink.

HOW DOES A DIRECT TO GARMENT PRINTED SHIRT FEEL COMPARED TO A SCREEN PRINTED ONE?

Direct to garment printing will feel softer to the touch than screen printing as DTG uses thinner, water-based ink in comparison to screen printing. Screen printing typically uses plastisol ink, which is an ink that produces a design with a thicker coating. As a result of the type of inks used, DTG water-based prints have next to zero hand feel compared to a coating of plastisol ink from a screen printer.

WHAT TYPE OF MATERIAL SHOULD MY DESIGN BE PRINTED ON?

Typically cotton works best for DTG printing; pre-shrunk cotton or 100% ring spun cotton are preferable. Cotton / polyester blends also work well. Ring spun cotton has a tight weave, so these t-shirts last longer and feel softer to the touch. They also provide the best results for printing directly onto the garment because they produce a more flat/smooth finish.

HOW DURABLE ARE DIRECT TO GARMENT PRINTS IN THE WASH?

It is critical that DTG items are pretreated to preserve the quality and longevity of the printed design. Pre-treating an item is done with a specialized liquid coating and a heat press. This process helps create stronger bonds between the garment fibers and the ink. Pretreating a garment also flattens any loose fibers on the fabric, which provides for a smoother surface; the fiber chemically reacts with the inks to promote drying and curing. Without proper pre-treatment, designs will appear faded, or even worse, not stick to the garment at all!
